Spring is here!

Updated: Mar 21, 2018

And that means it's time to clear out the clutter - including your photo clutter!  Whether you have a box of old photographs taking up space, too many spring break photos, or a mass of electronic images sitting on your computer, you probably have a ton of great (and not so great) pictures in your life.  It feels so good to organize them, get rid of the excess, and create a beautiful photo book of all your favorite images.  Here are some tips for getting started:

  • Go digital.  Convert all of your physical photos to digital images and then get rid of them.  Don't forget to back up your digital images!!

  • Don't be afraid to delete.  Nowadays we have easy access to our cameras through our phones, but that means we end up taking way too many photos.  Go through them and delete the pictures of random things like your grocery list or those 54 pictures from when your toddler hijacked your phone!

  • Treat your children's art like you treat your photographs.  Convert it to electronic format and then let it go.  A tidy book of your child's artwork makes a wonderful sentimental gift.

  • Display.  Our photos often live in the dark of our computers and we rarely view them.  Create a photo book, or a series of books, and find a way to display them in your home and enjoy your happy memories.
